Applications

This DCMT turning insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds between 0.002 and 0.008 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.059 in. These parameters enable precise control for general cutting tasks within the specified ranges. The insert is designed for universal application across a variety of machining conditions. It is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P40 (steel) as the primary range, with secondary applicability to M20-M30 (stainless steel), K20-K25 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/Titanium). The positive rake chipbreaker and 55° diamond shape favor finishing and profiling operations but are not recommended for interrupted cuts or rough turning, especially in steel with scale or inclusions.
