The 5-flute design with a 45° helix angle and TiAlN Extreme coating improves chip evacuation, surface finish, and tool strength during high-speed machining. This configuration reduces chatter and enhances finish quality on low carbon steels such as 1018 and A36, following recommended finishing guidelines. Travers Tool Company suggests this tool primarily for Steel (ISO P), Stainless Steel (ISO M), HRSA (ISO S), and Cast Iron (ISO K). Users should not apply this end mill on non-ferrous materials because the TiAlN Extreme coating is poorly matched and degrades rapidly. Additionally, its sharp corner geometry requires care to avoid chipping during interrupted cuts, as it lacks a corner radius.
