The YG1 07579TE solid carbide end mill from Travers Tool, measuring 5/16″ in diameter with a 13/16″ length of cut, provides a balanced combination of reach and rigidity ideal for precision milling in free-machining steel. Its 4-flute design, paired with a 30° helix angle and YG TiAlN Extreme coating, promotes efficient chip evacuation and improved wear resistance, supporting higher speeds and feeds in general milling.
This tools geometry and coating pairing optimize performance in steel and cast iron, with secondary capability in stainless steel and HRSA. It is well-suited for slotting and general milling, with the absence of a corner radius focusing on straight-edge cutting and lacking benefits for chipping prevention from radius features.
