Applications

Designed with a 15/64″ diameter and 3/4″ length of cut, the YG1 07572TE 4-flute solid carbide finishing end mill features a length-to-diameter ratio of 3.2 that promotes rigidity and precision during finishing on steel. Its 30° helix angle coupled with four flutes facilitates efficient chip evacuation while preserving cutting edge strength, ideal for free-machining steel and similar alloys.
The YG TiAlN Extreme coating applied to this tool enhances resistance to wear and heat, extending tool life under high-speed milling conditions. Without a corner radius, cutting forces concentrate on the sharp edges, improving dimensional accuracy but necessitating careful use to prevent chipping during interrupted cuts.
This end mill is not recommended for Non-Ferrous (ISO N) materials due to coating unsuitability. Its design best suits general milling and slotting in free-machining steel applications, where the four-flute geometry balances chip control with tool robustness.
