Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds and feeds suitable for semi-finishing to medium machining with depths of cut up to 4.0 mm. Recommended feed rates range from 0.15 to 0.35 mm/rev, with a nose radius of 1/64″ providing good edge strength for moderate feeds and light interrupted cuts. It is primarily designed for ISO N materials such as aluminum and stainless steel, with secondary suitability for ISO M. The positive rake and 55° diamond shape make it ideal for profiling and copy turning operations, but it is not recommended for rough turning or heavy interrupted cuts.
