ACL-23 series drills from TTC have a standard spiral with a straight shank design. The longer taper flutes are designed to have a right-hand (clockwise rotation) cutting direction. The cutting edges are amber or black oxide-coated which aid in heavy-duty performance. Each jobbers twist drill bit is designed with two helical flutes having 30 degrees as its helix angle. This construction type goes on to offer faster chip ejection and provide stable drilling conditions. The self-centering 135-degree split point goes on to further improve penetration and offer a deeper cut. Standard style drills are available in 23 different fractional sizes ranging from 1/16 inch to 3/4 inches & under. Maximum flute length extends ranging from 1-3/4 inches to 5-7/8 inches.
