Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds between 0.001 and 0.014 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is designed exclusively for continuous cutting operations. The insert is optimized for ISO material group N (Non-ferrous metals), making it ideal for precision finishing tasks. Its positive rake chipbreaker and continuous cutting application limit its use to stable, smooth cuts without interruption. Avoid using this insert for interrupted cuts or rough machining conditions. Primary applications include finishing of aluminum, copper alloys, and other non-ferrous metals. It is also suitable for finishing heat-resistant superalloys (HRSA) and stainless steels under stable, continuous conditions. The insert excels in contour and profile finishing but is not recommended for roughing or interrupted cuts due to its delicate edge strength.
