Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds from 0.001 to 0.008 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.157 in. It is designed for continuous cutting operations within these parameters. The insert is optimized for machining ISO group N materials, which are non-ferrous metals. Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for finishing and semi-finishing tasks. Due to its positive rake and continuous cutting application, it is not recommended for interrupted cutting. This insert excels in low-rigidity setups and thin-wall workpieces where low cutting forces are beneficial.
