Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 410 to 771 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.006 to 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.165 inches. These parameters enable effective general cutting operations with a focus on medium to rough machining. The 3/64″ nose radius balances edge strength and moderate feed capability. Designed primarily for ISO P20-P25 steel materials, this insert excels in general cutting applications including roughing and interrupted cuts. Its negative rake geometry and robust edge make it suitable for shoulder turning and facing in rigid setups, but it is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling tasks.
