Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds between 0.001 and 0.002 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.012 in. It is designed for light to moderate depth finishing and semi-finishing cuts with stable feed rates. The 1/64″ nose radius balances edge strength and finish quality for precise contouring. Suitable primarily for ISO P30-P40 steels and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steels, K20-K25 cast irons, and S15-S25 heat-resistant superalloys and titanium. Its positive rake geometry and general cutting application make it ideal for continuous cuts but not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts.
