Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds ranging between 0.002 and 0.008 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.060 in. It is designed for general cutting with a maximum depth of cut limit at 0.060 in. The insert is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P40 (steel) as the primary range, with secondary applicability to M20-M30 (stainless steel), K20-K25 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (heat-resistant superalloys and titanium). Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for finishing and semi-finishing operations but not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts.
