Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds between 0.004 and 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. These ranges provide flexibility for general cutting operations with moderate to light depths and feeds. It is designed primarily for ISO P30-P40 steel and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steel, K20-K25 cast iron, and S15-S25 heat-resistant superalloys and titanium. The positive rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape make it suitable for general continuous cutting but not for heavy interrupted cuts or roughing.
