Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 82 to 525 sfm, feed rates between 0.002 and 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for interrupted cutting and roughing operations, handling heavy cuts with high material removal rates. It is suitable primarily for ISO P35-P45 steels, with secondary capability in M30-M40 stainless steels, K30-K35 cast irons, and S25-S35 HRSA/titanium alloys. Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust edge make it ideal for tough interrupted cuts and roughing in these materials, but it is not recommended for finishing or profiling tasks.
