Ideal for precision milling tasks, the YG1 13559TC solid carbide finishing end mill features a 1/8″ diameter with a 3/8″ length of cut, balancing reach and rigidity effectively. With its 4-flute arrangement and 30° helix angle, this tool is enhanced by a TiCN coating that ensures stable cutting in free-machining steel and cast iron, while also performing suitably in non-ferrous and stainless steel materials. This setup reduces vibration and improves surface finish during general milling operations. The geometry combined with the TiCN coating promotes smooth chip evacuation and wear resistance, preserving dimensional accuracy during finishing passes. Lacking a corner radius, it requires careful use to avoid edge chipping, particularly in interrupted cuts. The double-ended design allows both ends to be utilized, extending tool life. This end mill is not recommended for heat-resistant superalloys (HRSA ISO S) because the TiCN coating is poorly matched and degrades quickly. It is best suited for general milling of free-machining steel rather than heavy roughing or materials outside its coating compatibility.
