Applications

The YG1 07588TF finishing end mill is engineered for precise finishing in cast iron with a 7/16″ diameter and 1″ length of cut, featuring 4 flutes and a 30° helix angle. The TiAlN Futura coating enhances abrasion resistance and chip evacuation, critical for the abrasive cast iron environment. This combination reduces edge wear and maintains dimensional accuracy during extended machining runs.
Additionally, the tools geometry and coating make it suitable for secondary use in free-machining steel and stainless steel, where general milling is required. Its single end and center cutting design improve versatility for plunge and ramping operations.
Use caution to avoid non-ferrous materials, as the TiAlN Futura coating is not well matched and will degrade rapidly. The lack of a corner radius limits its effectiveness in interrupted cuts where chipping prevention is needed.
