Its bright coating enhances chip evacuation and minimizes welding in non-ferrous metals, supporting smooth finishes during slotting and pocketing in aluminum and copper alloys. Optimized for non-ferrous materials, the tool’s geometry and polished flutes reduce smearing and chip packing while maintaining sharp cutting edges. The 1″ length of cut provides a good balance of reach and stiffness for precise finishing where control is essential. Coated end mills typically perform better on hard steels. The lack of a corner radius means edge chipping must be managed through proper feed rates and material selection. It is well suited for full slotting and rough pocketing in 6061/6082 aluminum and copper alloys.
