The YG1 33573TC 1/4″ Size, 1/2″ Length of Cut, 4 Flute, TiCN Solid Carbide Finishing End Mill features a stub length that enhances milling rigidity and precision. With a 30° helix and 4-flute design, it balances efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action, thereby reducing vibration and improving surface finish on free-machining steel and cast iron. Its TiCN coating boosts wear resistance and heat management, which extends tool life during general milling operations. The absence of a corner radius focuses cutting forces on sharp edges, necessitating careful handling but preventing chipping during continuous cuts. This end mill is not recommended for heat-resistant superalloys (HRSA) due to coating unsuitability. Although capable of machining non-ferrous and stainless steel materials, its primary applications are steel and cast iron, consistent with recommended combinations for free-machining steel and general milling.
