Applications

Cutting speeds range from 525 to 984 sfm with feed rates between 0.012 and 0.028 in/rev and depths of cut up to 0.315 in. This insert is designed for general cutting operations within these parameters. The maximum depth of cut of 0.315 in sets the upper limit for roughing capabilities. This insert is optimized for ISO P20-P25 steel materials, making it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing. Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and suitability for heavy interrupted cuts, but it is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling applications.
