Applications

This CCMT insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feed rates between 0.004 and 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. These parameters suit medium to low-speed roughing operations with general to interrupted cutting. The insert is designed for machining ISO P25-P35 steels primarily, with secondary suitability for M25-M35 stainless steels. Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape provide good edge strength and contouring ability, but it is not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts or hard scale removal.
